Project Title: EducateHer Project
EducateHer is a comprehensive menstrual health and hygiene project aimed at addressing the critical issues of menstrual health education, reusable sanitary pad training, and sexual health empowerment for young girls, and women.
The project not only focuses on breaking the taboo around menstruation but also strives to eliminate period poverty by training, educating and sponsoring girls and women to receive education and skills in sexual health. This project has so far been implemented in two schools and one community training and educating 265 women and girls on menstrual health and hygiene and also how to make reusable sanitary pads.
Objectives
- To provide training on the production and use of reusable sanitary pads, promoting sustainable and eco-friendly menstrual hygiene solutions.
- To deliver sexual health education, empowering girls and women with knowledge about their reproductive health, rights, and hygiene.
- To end period poverty by sponsoring girls and women to access education and skills related to sexual health.
