Partnership and Exhibition at the 1st East African E-Commerce Forum, 2024
The inaugural East African E-Commerce Forum, hosted by the Uganda Industrial Research Institute (UIRI) and organized by the Africa Centre for Economic Dialogue (AFCED) in collaboration with key partners like Uganda Industrial Research Institute (UIRI), UINCAF Scholarships, the Innovation Village, and ourselves brought together over 200 industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers. Under the theme “Galavanizing the Transition to the Digital Economy,” the event showcased transformative solutions in e-commerce and highlighted new pathways for economic prosperity in Africa’s digital economy.
This event was had the Minister of State for trade, industry and cooperatives, Gen Wilson Mbasu Mbadi as the Chief Guest together with other Honorable Members of parliament and the Executive Director of Uganda Industrial Research Institute, Mr. Charles Kwesiga as the Keynote Speaker.
