OUR PROGRAMS
COMMUNITY VSLA Training for Youth and Women
Supported by Slum Youth Rehabilitation and Development Organization and her donors, we launched a training program on Village Saving and Loans Associations (VSLA) in our host community in Kikaaya parish, kawempe Division-Kampala, to empower youth and women in with skills to establish and manage Village Savings and Loans Associations. This initiative aims to boost financial access and economic growth in our local communities.
It also was tailored to support at least 70% of women and female adolescents in every local community and 30% of boys/ men in also every community.
Primary Benefits of this program to communities included; Group registration support and certificates, aassistance with bank accounts, record-keeping, stamps, and business and entrepreneurship training and support.
Sofar and by December 2024, we have worked with over 60 locals in community from different groups.
