Community Engagements on Property
This activity is aimed at raising awareness, educating and empowering community members with knowledge and information regarding their property rights. This initiative aims to foster a sense of ownership, responsibility, and legal knowledge among residents, ultimately promoting secure and equitable property ownership. It seeks to address issues related to property ownership, legal compliance, and access to justice.
Being one of the key activities in the Economic Baraza program, since January 2023 Community Engagement on property rights has been conducted in 3 different communities like Naguru, Kikulu and Kanisa, and in the process 245 people were physically educated on the important property rights. Which includes; Right to own properties, right to use their properties in any way they see fit and right to transfer their property to other beneficiaries?
